From today, April 7th, the European Union will begin placing provisional anti-dumping duties on some Chinese and Vietnamese made shoes.
The EU announced late last month that the duties would start at 4.8 percent from April 7th, and run through June 1st. Then, the duties will increase to 9.7 percent between June 2nd and July 13th. And between July 14th and September 14th, the tax will rise again to 14.5 percent. And after that, the anti-dumping duties will eventually increase to 19.4 percent -- within a six month period.
